The Waverly Piranhas Swim Club (WPSC) was established in 1964 and is the oldest swim club in the Lansing, Michigan area. All practices are held at the Howard Comstock Pool @ Waverly High School. The only requirement to join the club is to be able to swim one length of the pool (25 yards) in any stroke without assistance. Other sports promote swimming for endurance training, and coaches encourage swimming to keep their athletes conditioned during the off season for soccer, football, track, cross-country, baseball, and more. Waverly Piranhas is a year-round club divided into 4 sessions: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. A swimmer may swim any number of sessions throughout the year given their own personal commitments.
WPSC Mission Statement:
Waverly Piranhas Swim Club is a year-round, age group, competitive swim club designed to enhance a swimmer’s ability at their own pace, as well as to promote life long physical fitness, water safety, and well being.
