Special Instructions for Entering the

June 26-28 Stars & Stripes USSM meet @ MSU 

 

Parents and Swimmers:

 

The Waverly Piranhas Swim Club will be holding summer term Monday, June 8 through Friday, July 31.

 

The first USS-M swim meet of the summer term is the Spartan Stars and Stripes Swimvitational (Michigan State University, long course pool) meet June 26-28.  The sign-up deadline for this meet is Friday, May 22 at 8 pm.  

 

There are two different instructions to enter this meet depending on your situation as defined below:

 

• SWIMMERS CURRENTLY SWIMMING WITH PIRANHAS IN THE SPRING TERM who will also be swimming in the summer term  and would like to attend this meet:

Fill out the attached entry form and submit with payment to the ‘USA Meet Entry’ folder at the pool by Friday, May 22, 8 pm.       Please note that the USS-M meet return folder/bin is now located on the table by the window in the coaches’ office.

 

• SWIMMERS NOT CURRENTLY SWIMMING WITH PIRANHAS IN THE SPRING TERM who will be swimming in the summer term and would like to attend this meet:

Fill out the attached entry form and email the entries to Coach Brandon Sartele sarteleb@gmail.com .  Payment will be due at     the time of summer term registration. 

IMPORTANT: If your swimmer is not current with their USA Swimming registration for 2015, please contact Cathy Lashbrook at (517-321-1992) or dclashbrook@comcast.net  BEFORE sending your entries to Brandon.  We will not be able to process a swimmer’s entries if the swimmer is not a USA Swimming member through the Waverly Piranhas Swim Club.

 

Understandably, this is a short turn around and we haven’t even finished our spring term yet!  However, the host team’s entry deadline is prior to our summer term registration and we do not want to miss the deadline date or risk the meet filling up before we can enter our swimmers. 

 

The meet is June 26-28.  The charge is $5.00 per event.  Swimmers are allowed to swim 2 individual events on Friday and 3 individual events each day Saturday and Sunday at this meet.  Please be sure to include the $1.00 Michigan Swimming surcharge per swimmer in addition to your events payment.  Checks to be made payable to WPSC.  Again,  if you are not swimming with the Piranhas this spring and can’t make it to the pool by May 22, payment may be made at the time of registration on June 8, but please make sure that your entries are emailed to Brandon by Friday, May 22 or we will not be able to enter your swimmer in this meet.
